Transfer Notice Information
Why Did I Receive This Message?
You received notification from your local or county public safety agency because you are currently listed in, or were previously associated with, a local special needs or disability registry. That agency has adopted the New Jersey Public Safety Alliance for Individuals with Disabilities (NJPS-AID) as its supported platform for improving safety, communication, and outcomes during emergency and public safety interactions.
This notice is being provided for informational purposes only. Your personal information has not been transferred to NJPS-AID, and no action has been taken on your behalf.
What Is Changing
The agency’s existing local registry will no longer be actively managed after 90 days. Because participation in NJPS-AID is voluntary, your information cannot be moved into the new system without your consent. If you wish to continue participating in NJPS-AID, you must choose to enroll directly.
If you do not wish to participate, no action is required.
About NPS-AID
NJPS-AID is a secure public safety platform managed by the State of New Jersey and is designed to give authorized first responders access to critical information—such as communication needs, mobility considerations, sensory sensitivities, and preferred approaches—during emergency calls and public safety encounters. The system includes tools to keep information accurate and current while respecting individual privacy and control.
The goal of NJPS-AID is to support safer, more informed, and more positive interactions between community members and public safety professionals.
Join Voluntarily
