As part of the “National Public Safety Alliance for Individuals with Disabilities”, the “New Jersey Public Safety Alliance for Individuals with Disabilities” (NJPS-AID program) is a no cost* service that has been created to help public safety officials better assist citizens with disabilities and/or special needs, in the event of an emergency or other interaction, by providing emergency services personnel with vital information regarding a members disability or special need such as emergency contact information, physical description, current photograph and more.

The goal of the NJPS-AID program is to ensure all community members across New Jersey and beyond who have a disability or special need are able to get the help and support they need in a time of emergency, if reported missing and/or during an interaction with public safety and emergency services personnel.

Unlike localized registration databases or those contained in a specific jurisdiction’s dispatch center, the NJPS-AID program is a statewide cross-jurisdictional initiative that allows community members to provide critical information about themselves or their loved ones from anywhere, at any time, and allows all New Jersey public safety and emergency services agencies and officers to access this critical information, regardless of where the member resides, during a time of need.

*The NJPS-AID Program is a ZERO cost initiative for all participants, community, users, caregivers and loved ones.

“The NJPS-AID Program was created in conjunction with public safety agencies and is the only cross-jurisdictionally capable initiative of its kind.
